There’s a whole lot of buzz around CPA at the moment and all the talk of $10,000,000 per year affiliates and 6-figure months definitely draw more people to it.
CPA (or cost-per-action) for affiliates has a lot of attractive qualities. Email and zip submits convert well, high payouts and lots of offers, these all mean many affiliates are trying to make money. The problem seems to be with getting accepted.
I was not really aware it was such a problem until people started discussing it in forums and new courses gave advice on how to get accepted. But it appears that it is for some affiliates unfortunately.
I have prepared a number of tips that should get you accepted without any problems. They’re not all mandatory but things to bear in mind when you are contacting the CPA managers.
- Get a website – Not essential but if you have a website to show an affiliate manager you will come over as more professional (a personal blog will do)
- Call them first – Get on the phone after you have finished the application and ask to speak to someone. Being proactive will help you here.
- Sound confident – I know this is difficult if you don’t like speaking on the phone. Try to speak to a friend first before making the call.
- Be honest – I don’t recommend deceit here… it will be easy to spot. Just think about your skills and expertise and paint it in the most positive light.
- Don’t sweat it – It really is a lot easier than you may imagine. Try to stay relaxed when you contact them and if you are declined just move on.
- There’s always another one – There are a lot of networks so if the first declines you then try the next. Even if it takes a couple of attempts you will have gained a lot of confidence in the process.
So there you go. Remember it really is not that difficult and they actually want good quality affiliates. Be professional and you will be fine.
